Tehzeeb-ul-Akhlaq was started in 1871 by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. Explanation Tehzeeb-ul-Akhlaq was a magazine published by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, a Muslim reformer. The magazine was published in Urdu and featured alternative Muslim perspectives. It was published between 1871 and 1897. The magazine was a result of Sir Syed’s desire for religious, educational, and social reform. He believed that morality was the foundation of all these reforms. The publication of Tehzeeb-ul-Akhlaq was interrupted in 1961, but it was restarted in 1981 by Syed Hamid, the Vice-chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University. The magazine is now published regularly. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan also started the Aligarh movement, which aimed to regenerate Muslim society through education, culture, and social and intellectual reform. He also published the Aligarh Institute Gazette, which was India’s first multilingual journal.
